Wrapped in a grocery store plastic bag was a mishapen ceramic plaque picturing mushrooms growing out of a grassy patch, a photo album and a goblet painted green with a shamrock on one side and a family crest on the other side. Just great thought Abby!

I am still amazed that my friend wrote a novel! Maui Snow was a great book that kept me guessing and when I finished, I wanted more!! I am looking forward to reading the next book...whatever and whenever that may be. As for beaches...I love the beach on Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. But the beaches of Italy sound great. A great place to work on the next book. When do we leave?

Maui Snow was amazing, the characters seem so real to me and I was turning those pages so quickly to find out what happened next! Thanks for a wonderful read. It really hit me on many levels -- it was thought provoking, thrilling, and poetic. And I agree, The Hunger Games series was addictive!

FAVORITE BOOKS...FAVORITE BEACHES...WHAT ARE YOURS?
Okay, so writing is great, but so is reading. My current favorite is the Hunger Game series. The characters capture your heart, and the themes capture your head and won't let go, long after the last page is turned. That being said, I've read all three books and need something new. Any suggestions? Also, how about favorite beaches to plop into while you read. Aside from Hawaii and the Jersey shore, I've always been curious about Italy. I've hear there are some nice beaches close by. If you have a favorite, blog on and let me know.

Okay, so the hard part is finished, right?? Maui Snow is in print. Now the fun begins...reaching out to you...to the masses of avid readers out there who are looking for their next satisfying meal of words. Here's a bite from page 16 of the prologue:
Tilting her head sideways, the bully's sister pointed at something in the sand. "What the heck is that?"
Bridget Kawa looked in the direction the blonde was pointing and saw the sand sculpture.
    "JesusMaryandJoseph," she breathed.
The shark, swishing this way and that, its sinewy lines raised life-like out of flat sand, had its jaws opened wide with a not-quite-all-of-the-way swallowed boy hanging out of it.
Bridget spotted the eyeglasses perched on the sand boy's nose, and almost threw up. A boy was missing and those glasses were real.

Now, about dessert...

"Why?"
Before I could get Vince to answer, the waiter came by with a dessert cart. Vince picked up three different cakes and then put them back down. Exasperated, I picked up a coconut brownie brulee from the top tray and asked for two spoons. Served in half of a coconut shell, it was a warm, dark chocolate brownie covered in a thick layer of creme brulee. The waiter sprinkled sugar and coconut on top and then toasted it with a flame pen that looked like a mini tikki torch. I smiled at Vince, and dug in.
